Great Grandma and Great Granddaughter
My grandma came over for dinner on Sunday. We snapped this pic. Boy these are two of my favorite girls.
Family Fotos
We got our family fotos taken Super Bowl Sunday. Here you can really see all four of us. Me, Christian, Nika and Matt.
We are awaiting our boy's arrival. Ten weeks. We have several thing to occupy ourselve 'til then. My birthday, Nika's, several babyshowers, visit to Grandma Levet, Grandma West and maybe even Grandpa Van Liew. Figure then they can all come and visit our new addition.

Yesterday we put carpet in our bonus room. Doesn't it look great. Sunday was busy. Church, Lowes (for carpet), Install carpet pad, JC Penny (family fotos), Lowes (more carpet pad), and home again to finish installing carpet to find we really do need to rent a carpet stretcher. It makes the room look bigger.
Look the carpet even fits on our lovely (paid off) Escape. I think this week we will buy our first piece of furnature. A brand new Futon with temperpedic matteress for the old postpartim slaves.
Mowing the Lawn
Winter Walking
Since the Weather has been clearing up lately, we have started going on walks to get the mail and visit with neighbors. You may be able to see green in our front yard. Yes last fall we planted grass and there is enough to mow. Goodbye muddy front yard. The only problem is . . . some of the grass is growing where it is not supposed to be.

Our Littlest Painter
Nika thinks her Daddie is so cool. She was helping Daddie by painting the floor a get tint of invisible purple. So far we have not let her play much in the room, since there are so many chemicals, sharp tools, and dust around. This is a rare occasion when the room was acceptable.
In this picture you can also see that Nika's sleeve is wet. The best toy in the house, the Toliet is to blame. Really mom, it just jumped up and bite me. Nika has been testing the closet to see if they are big enough to hide inside. Oh my! Where is Nika NOW?
Continued Improvements
Here you see the other side of the bonus room. We plan on using some the othe closets for clothes and others as pantries. The room has wonderful recessed lighting that can be dimmed for the watching movies and brightened so you can see the dart board with the optimal lighting.
We hope the room will be a place where the kids can yell, scream, roll around and be crazy with out making thier parents crazy.
This room is also going to serve as a guest room, since baby Christian will be taking over our previous guest room. We picked out this great futon (the only piece of furnature that will fit through our smaller than standard door), with a temper-pedic like matteress. Every visitor is assured a good night sleep. No crying babes and a comfie night sleep.
Bonus Room Progress
Here you see Matt working the shelves that the MAN has made with his own two hands. The seperate collums fit in between the trustes (beams that hold up the roof). Some of the shelves will be used for books and others will be for knick knacks. We have dreams of having the kids using the room as a place to rouddy. One of the walls will house the dart board and the other side houses the only window. This window's shade will be used as the projector's screen for Large Screen Movies.
Countdown to Delivery
We have only eleven weeks until baby Christian arrives. Matt is working on the Bonus room five nights a week, resting for Date Night and Sunday. Since Christian will be in our former Guestroom, we need a place for the Post Delivery Servents (the Grandmothers).
When we tell Nika to Hug or Kiss baby Christian she hugs or kisses my belly. Other than that she still sometimes thinks Matt has a baby Christian too.
Well at 28 weeks I have now entered my last trimester. Longer afternoon naps, slip on shoes, and taking is slower is definately where life is heading this next couple of weeks. Christian is starting to get short on space, sometimes kicking a little to hard. He likes to kick when Nika is sitting on my lap and Nika likes to yell into my belly. I like to think they are already adjusting well to having a sibling.
Nika's second birthday is seven weeks away. She is still small for her age. I bought her several cute outfits is 18-24 month size. A normal child would be nearly out of these clothes. I like to think that God is blessing me with a smaller child, because she wants to be carried around ALL THE TIME.
