Yesterday Nika got into my Mascara. I was amazed. She looked at it and knew exactly what to do with it. Which is a miracle considering the last time I remember wearing Mascara was my Step-Sister's Wedding nearly two years ago.

Christian's First

It was such a fun day. It took a little time for him to warm up to the idea, but Wow he enjoyed it. There were a ton of kids of every age. So much food, I am sure we will be eatting on it for days. All sorts of Big Kids toys and clothes. We got him a little remote car. I think the toys have been enjoyed more by Big Sis.

He Walks

Yesterday night Christian took his first Step (singular). Then this afternoon he took his second step (singular). I was bragging to his Grandma that she just missed his second step, when I set him down and he took six steps one right after another. I was taken aback. Camara readied we caught his second set of multiple steps (the jury is still out on the actual number) on tape. Proud parents and grandparents will willingly supply the evidence if requested.

Butterfly

Apparently this was Nika's Butterfly birthday. She got a tinker bell sheet set and comforter from Great Grandpa Mel and a Fairy outfit from us. The entire day she insisted on being referred to as "Butterfly" and referred to me as "Butterfly." Every sentence included butterfly. In the last picture you see her singing happy birthday to butterfly.

Yes, Nika turned Three on Monday. To celebrate Nika and I made a chocolate cake together. She did it all. She put the eggs, water, and batter in.


And as a grand finale she licked the better.

Imagine works

Last week we were in Bend with my Mom and Step dad. We went to Wonderworks in the Old Mill District. Here you can pretend to work at a grocery store, make pizza, be a vet, or build a mansion.

Big Kid Bed

Yesterday night the kids moved up to big kid beds. Christian got Nika's bed (which 27 years ago was mine and 18 years ago my cousins) and Nika got a big girl twin. We bought her Tinkerbell sheets and comforter. So fun.

Christian also turned 11 months yesterday.

Thickn' Up

On monday we took Christian to the Doctor. They want him to gain some weight so everyone is helping out. Here you see Nika feeding Christian Sweet Potatoes and Chicken. As you can see he doesn't really care for Baby food much. So it has been a struggle.

A Young Organist

Nika has been taking lessons from the Great Organist at Bend First Presbyterian, Boyd Levet. I guess the music abilty came from my side of the family

Nap time !

Here you see Christian taking his afternoon nap. He has really perfected this daytime nap thing. If only he could sleep in his bed at night.

Kenny tied both of the kids to Nika's bike and had them going all through the house. It was so cool. Christian loved it and Nika thought it was so cool. Here you them doing the Wheelie.
