Christian Matthew West Five Months Old

Christian is doing so many cool things. He is inch worming all around. Rolls, is wanting to eat, etc. I think we might soon give him rice ceral, but he hasn't eaten anything except for what he has snuck when we aren't watching. Posted by Picasa

First Two Teeth

Don't tell me you can't see them. Well I don't blame you. I can barely see them too. They are just above the shiny spots. Two live actual teeth. So exciting. Before I know it he will be eating steak, beef jerky, and getting cavities (not my perfect child). Posted by Picasa

Handsome Husband

Matt worked from home today. It was nice to have him home since we haven't seen much of each other. Monday through today we have been all sick with a cold. Matt and I have been going to bed a different times, he went Salmon fishing one night, or caring for sick kids. Yes he does look dazed, you would too if you took to much cold medication and have computer brain drain too. But he still finds time to be there for everyone in the house. By the way he didn't catch any Salmon. Maybe next time. Posted by Picasa

A family dinner

Tonight we made enchiladas. Everyone did their share of the work. Nika spread the cheese and olives. Kenny put shredded the cheese. I put the meat and beans in the enchiladas. As you can see we are chefs - the kitchen was a disaster. But dinner was good. Posted by Picasa

Kenny "Blue Eyes" Hunt

Our nephew "blue eyes" has been living with us the last couple of weeks. Unsure how long he will be with us, but those eyes are enough reward. He is so funny, a women will come up to him and tell him how wonderful his eyes are and he will say something like, "that is what all the women say!" No he doesn't have a big head. He is just blunt. Hair Brush

The other day I caught Nika brushing her hair with the toliet brush (My other website has a video). The following day she washed her hair in our other toliet with baby shampoo and everything. These toddler years are terrific. I laughed so hard I nearly wet my pants. Posted by Picasa

Sudoku Fun

The past couple of days Matt and I have been doing these puzzles. Nika has caught on fast. She is 2 and already completeing them. Posted by Picasa

Camping

I know it isn't a great picture, but it is only family pic we have. Here the west clan is at Crater Lake. We spent four nights near Crater Lake with Matt's Parent's and Nephew and then jet over to Cottage Grove with our celebration crowd.

Blackberry Season

Our blackberries have been looking really good. The other day Nika and I made a cobbler for bible study and for Matt. I was soo good. I think I should make another before they all ripen and fall off.

Christian Had Fun too.

Look at my little heartbreaker. Christian did so well at the Zoo. I think he only fussed once and that was to eat lunch. the rest of the time he was in his little seat or in Daddy's arms.

Matt had a ton of fun showing Christian all the cool animals.

I think he enjoyed seeing all the people and scenery the most. Oh yeah, he loves looking at the warning sign next to his head too.

Life is a Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Zoo with my neice Victoria. Here you see nika posing on a wooden horse and saddle. Nika is hoping that her favorite Step-Auntie Hillary will someday teach her to jump horses too.

We had a ton of fun at the Zoo. Each time we go I think Nika comes home understanding more animals and definately enjoys her self more.

Our membership runs up on tuesday, but that is fine. We have a membership to the local science museums and with our rainy Oregon weather we will get good use of it over the cold winter.

Fire in Sister's

This last weekend we visited my parent's in Sisters Oregon. This was before the fire that is breaking out there. Where we were hiking last week it is now blazing.
I say good riddens (kidding), I came home from that hike with over 60 (yest count them Six - Oh) mosquito bites. What make it worse was they all got swollen. Ouch. In the picture Nika and I are looking at a squirrel.

Now Three Months

Christian turned Three months the other day. I thought it would be interesting to see a picture of the both of them at the same age. Nika certainly had mone hair then Christian. They certainly have the same nose, mouth, and thier mother's beauty : )

Our Early Reader

Here is a picture of Nika reading Christian "Five little Monkeys." I don't know if all kids are like this, but both Nika and Christian enjoyed looking at books when they were super little. According to Nika the book reads, "Bump Head, head bump, bump head, Monkey."

Baby's Bath

Yesterday Nika and I gave Christian a bath. Well actually I gave Christian a bath while Nika scrubed her Duckie (in the background). Nika recently has been saying Christian's name. It comes out "Cris-tim." But so cute. It has been fun seeing how much Christian enjoys his sister. Nika does little dances and talks to him. I can see thier special relationship brewing already.

Matt Caught a Fish

Matt and my step dad went fly fishing at the pond near my parent's house. This is the fish Matt caught. Sorry the image isn't so good, but the picture was capture via cell phone camara.

Training a Bible Scholar

Nika and I did Bible Study together. We learned about submitting to God's authority in our lives.
