New Words

Just the last couple of days Christian has been blowing us out of the water with new words. Taco, Blue, Yellow, Red, Bye, Shoes, Ball, Please, and Nika are his favorites right now. Nika is really blooming too. She has reached the stage, where she is asking "Why?" all the time.

Snowing Sisters

After Christmas and Our Romatic Childless 5th Anniversary we headed over to Sisters to visit my Mom and Step Dad. We did some sledding and the Kids and Matt Built a Snowman. It was a huge blessing. My Mom and Boyd took the Kids over to mountian and left Matt and I to spend our anniversary alone at home. It was beyond wonderful. The Hightlight were going to the Resturant that my cousin works at (Meriwether's) and Matt going shopping for a pretty dress for the evening.

Wii

The Big Kids got a Wii. Here you see Josh and Matt playing Bowling. Nika had a Princess Christmas. She also got the Disney Princess Wii game, which she plays anytime she can get Matt off.

Christmas Morning

Grandma's really scored the Cool presents this year. Grandma Kathy got Nika a Snow White Barbie and a matching Dress. And Grandma Kay got the Kids a cool red Wagon.

Decorated Tree.

Like the day after Thanksgiving Nika say all the neighbors putting up the lights on their houses. So to keep up with the Jones' (no one in our neighborhood is named Jones), we put up our Christmas Tree. The Kids had so much fun. Nika is not satisfied. She wants lights on the outside. It was Matt's decision to not do it so I just tell her to ask Daddy. I think next year Matt might cave. Father Daughter relationships are so special.

Fudge

Matt decided he wanted to start a tradition with the kids. Making Fudge. The kids loved it, but Matt . . . Not so much. The kids don't really respect the fact that they are dealing with Molten Chocolate. Well to get the punch line. Matt had to quickly stop Nika from placing a spoon full of near boiling sugar in her mouth, so in fear she dumped the spoon full on Matt's finger.
