Schools at the Zoo.

Much to our surprise we saw one of your Favorite Teachers at the Zoo. Mara a friend I have had since High School was at the Zoo with her Tualatin School Second Graders. It was crazy how many kids were at the Zoo. Every sort and age. Preschoolers, Elementary, Upper Grades (High School or Middle School), and Special Ed Students. With two double Strollers I don't know how we managed.

The Favorites

As always the bears and the sand are a favorite. It was so cool to see this Grizzly Bear taking a nap. And this was Christian's first time in a sandbox. He was unsure at first, but warmed up to being able to play with out Mom yelling at him to not get dirty.

Zoo with Friends

Today we went to the Zoo (yes again) with our friends Benton, Nathanial and their parents (Paul with the leashs and Andrea). It was so much fun. Nika loved having another little pre-schooler to run around with.

Accent Wall

While the kids and I were out yesterday (Chruch, Birthday party, grocery shopping, etc.) Matt painted the house. Here you see the new accent wall. In the lower picture you also see the new light Matt installed several weeks ago. The house is get ready quick, with any luck we can put it on the market (first for sale by owner then by realtor) by the first weekend in June. On Saturday we bought plants for the front yard. Once the plants are planted it is a whole lot of bark hauling.

Before and After

The last couple of days Matt and I have been working on putting SOD in our backyard. Here are some before and after pictures. As you can see it makes a big difference. I would like to thank all those who helped the process. Josh for helping move dirt, Katie for watching the kids, Stacy for watching the kids, and Nikki for watching the kids. With out you the job most likely would not have been done today. We spent much of this afternoon shopping for plants. We might be able to put them in this evening if the weather co-operates.

Climbing Buddy

Mother's Day

May I please just for a moment brag about my Hubbie. He came up with the idea of going to the beach. It was the best idea ever. I had been wanting to go for the longest time. We did ever so little shopping, had an early dinner (Inn @ the Spanish Head), Play in the Sand like kids, etc. And what just put it over the top was the kids were terrific (like they knew it was my day), everyone got dressed up and kept their clothes clean. I even managed to get enough sleep, get up early and clean the kitchen before we left for Church. Sadly, we were not able to spend Mother's Day with any of the Grandma's.

Make Up

Yesterday Nika got into my Mascara. I was amazed. She looked at it and knew exactly what to do with it. Which is a miracle considering the last time I remember wearing Mascara was my Step-Sister's Wedding nearly two years ago.
